Nose to Mouth & Marionette Lines

Lines around the mouth can become more noticeable as we age. This is not always because the line itself needs filling. Changes in the cheeks, loss of facial support and changes in the skin can all contribute.

​

Nasolabial folds run from the nose towards the corners of the mouth, while marionette lines develop below the mouth towards the chin.

​

Dermal filler can be used to soften these areas and replace some of the support that has been lost. Sometimes I will treat the line directly. In other cases, treating another area of the face first can give a better and more natural result.

​

I will always assess what is actually causing the change before deciding where filler should be placed. The aim is to soften and support the area, not completely erase every line.​​
